Commuter agreements and commuter tickets
- A supplementary contract has been made with the Ministry of Transport, which will use Express 1 as a fixed high-capacity ferry on Bornholm. Some of the seats on Express 1 are set aside for so-called free sailing through the contract. Therefore, there may be departures with Express 1 where commuter tickets cannot be booked, even if the ferry is not sold out. In free sailing, only tickets are sold for pedestrians or ordinary cars.
- Commuters can access commuter tickets by creating a Commuter Scheme via the form at https://www.bornholmslinjen.com/commuting, where annual fees and price ranges are shown.
- Commuter Schemes are offered to private individuals and businesses respectively.
- With a Commuter Scheme, it is possible to enter into one or more Commuter Agreements, depending on the types of transport used. The type of transport can, for example, be "Low car" or "Pedestrian, Child". Commuter agreements provide access to purchase Commuter tickets on special terms.
- Commuter agreements can be used on both Rønne-Ystad and Rønne-Køge and are only valid for the specific mode of transport for which they were purchased.
- Commuter tickets can be changed free of charge up until departure and within the current commuter period - i.e. until the date of expiry of the commuter agreement. Cannot be changed to a departure outside the current commuter period.
- If a Commuter ticket is purchased for travel later than the current Commuter agreement's validity period, the Commuter agreement in connection with the ticket purchase is automatically extended to be valid for one more year, and the amount for this is charged together with the Commuter ticket in question.
- A Commuter agreement comes into force on the first travel date on the first Commuter ticket purchased via the Commuter agreement, and is then valid for 12 months. The Commuter agreement can be changed to come into force earlier by contacting BORNHOLMSLINJEN's customer service.
- Commuter Agreement Fee and Commuter Tickets are non-refundable.
- In connection with a trip on a Commuter Ticket, the owner of the associated Commuter Scheme must be able to present a photo ID (driving license, health insurance card, passport, etc.) at all times as documentation of affiliation. In the case of the Business Commuter Scheme, the traveler must be able to present ID that documents that the person is employed by the company. Users of private Commuter Schemes must be able to document residence at the address registered on the Commuter Scheme.
- The vehicle registration number must be updated on all reservations. If the vehicle registered on the Commuter Agreement is exceptionally unavailable, e.g. when visiting a workshop, another vehicle of the same transport type can be used, e.g. 'Low Car'. In that case, the owner must correct the registration number on the relevant Commuter Ticket before checking in for departure. This is done online. Changing the license plate on a Commuter Ticket does not change the ticket price. Documentation may be required.
- If the traveler on a Commuter Ticket cannot document legitimate affiliation to the Commuter Scheme, a control fee of DKK 750 will be charged. In this case, MOLSLINJEN A/S also reserves the right to cancel the Commuter Scheme in question as well as all associated Commuter Agreements and all Commuter Tickets without further notice.
- A private Commuter Scheme and the associated Commuter Agreements apply to all persons in the household, and two cohabiting adults can, for example, share the same Commuter Agreement for the ticket type "Adult, commuter".
- Commuter Tickets are personal to the household and cannot be transferred to others. Commuter Tickets can therefore only be used by the owners of the vehicles registered on the agreement, as well as by their household.
- If there are several cars in the household, it is possible to register them all on the same Commuter Scheme. The price of the associated commuter tickets is determined by the total number of reservations for the registered cars. The price scale counts for journeys within the same mode of transport. That is. Low Car 1 and Low Car 2 count on the same agreement for price calculation, while Low Car 1 and High Car 1 count on their own. Only one annual fee is paid for each type of transport. This means that Low Car 1 and Low Car 2 do not pay both annual fees if they are registered with the same Commuter Scheme.
- If several people under the same Commuter Scheme want to use the same departure as pedestrians, or in their own cars, it is necessary to create multiple Commuter Agreements. There are no restrictions on how many cars are included on each departure, as long as the cars are registered at the address.
- The Business Commuter Scheme can be created by companies and linked to the company's CVR number.
- It is possible to create multiple Commuter Agreements under the same Business Commuter Scheme.
- If the company has different types of vehicles, a Commuter Agreement must be created for each of these types, for example one agreement for "Low Car" and another for "High Car".
- It is possible to register multiple cars on the same Business Commuter Scheme. The price of the associated commuter tickets is determined by the total number of reservations for the registered cars. Annual fees and price ranges
